TSA lock for luggage

1.What is TSA lock

TSA lock refers to the security testing conducted by customs on transit luggage and goods under customs supervision during transportation, which must ensure the safety of the goods during transportation and use the universal TSA special key globally recognized by international customs.
Customs will open your suitcase for inspection. Without the TSA customs lock, customs cannot use the universal TSA customs lock exclusively for customs to open the suitcase. In this case, customs inspectors will force the suitcase to unlock its own lock. So, either use a customs lock or be pried open by customs inspectors to break the luggage lock being inspected.

2.Where is the key to the TSA lock

If the digital lock looks similar to any lock in the following image with a red diamond symbol, then it is TSA (Travel Sentry) ® Approved lock. The lock does not have a key, as the master key is only held by immigration customs officers who can check the contents of the luggage without cutting or opening the digital lock (source: Wikipedia). Based on our experience, customs officials will leave a note in any passenger’s luggage when opening it for inspection.

This is a security regulation implemented by the United States and Canada for all inbound/outbound/transit passengers, requiring them to lock their luggage with TSA locks or TSA padlocks. Therefore, in order to keep your luggage lock intact, please purchase luggage equipped with TSA locks from us (or you can also use your own TSA padlock).
